When is our retarded country going to grow up? Tiger Woods, got up and gave a Mea culpa, with the cowardly press attending, for one reason and one reason only. Nike called him up and said, “Hey, we are loosing billions of dollars beacause your not playing golf and your image is tarnished which makes it difficult for us to sponsor you. Say, “I screwed up, I love my wife, oh, and by the way -I am not going to take any questions.” And what happens? The cowardly sheepish press shows up for the b.s. press conference instead of having some backbone and saying to you, “Hey Tiger, you don’t take any questions -we don’t show up -and we don’t carry your infomercial.
Again, inescapably, this shows the connection between a cowardly press that treasures access above anything else, than bearing a responsibility to educate the public by asking tough questions. Guaranteed, he will be on Larry King and Oprah next having been prepped before he goes on -just like on Meet the Press. It’s about access and entertainment in this country instead of legitimate news. While this is about something that should be completely private between a marriage -and Tiger and all politicians caught in the same sex scandals would tell the public, this is non of your business, if they had any courage at all. We are about titillation and ratings instead of news which with out a doubt is leading to the numbing down of our population. Who do we have to blame when an intellectual lightweight is given a platform in which to spew off her ill-informed, not supported by any shred of evidence speeches. Yeah, I know, I’m talking about Sarah.
